BLACK FRIDAY: Target IS IN for 2010

BLACK FRIDAY IS HERE AGAIN.  As I've said previously, I don't really get it and the reason  I don't get it is because I have no expendable income.  And even if I did have expendable income, I'd have no way to transport the stuff I'd be able to purchase on such a big shopping day. Nevertheless I understand the pull of a good sale.  So.....

My suggestion for 2010? TARGET.  My reasoning? Target is opening at 4am -- which means you can go there directly after the bar and shop half-drunk.  This will then provide you with the "my card was stolen when I was drunk" excuse to give your Credit Card company as you try to get them to reverse the charges! And since the charges will be from TARGET and not, say, Saks Fifth Avenue or The Coop,  they may just be likely to believe it -- because they'll think:  "NYers don't really shop at Target, do they?" And You'll Say: Of Course NOT!   

 So, see,  I'm looking out for you, because you know you shouldn't be shopping in this economy.  Further, I'm giving you my blessings to go shop at Target just this once, and then offering you a clever way to defend yourself!  Just don't turn me in, because I'll not be remembering this blog.

DIRECTIONS: From any borough, take the 2,3,4,5,N,R,B or D train to ATLANTIC AVENUE IN BROOKLYN.  Then enter the Atlantic Avenue Mall through the subway system  (follow signs or just ask someone)  Enter the Mall and take the escalators up to the top and Voila! TARGET IS RIGHT THERE!

Get one of the huge suburban style shopping carts and pretend you are in the Mid-West with Expendable Income!   Buy me something if you must relieve yourself of guilt.
