Where in the world can you find a community pillow fight? Well, right here in NYC, that's where! And that's just one more reason why I (Heart) NY! Not only is this perhaps the best therapy ever, but the fact that 100's of strangers actually show up in their PJ's with Pillows to bang on someone else they don't know, well, this is as close to World Happiness as we may ever get! In fact, I am thinking that if warring countries, factions, friends, spouses and the like simply had a pillow fight instead of a real fight, we'd see more laughter and save a lot of money! Right? It's a simple solution to perhaps some pretty grave problems. Could you imagine Israel & Palestine putting down their bomb vests and bazookas and having a big ol' pillow fight? Tell me this wouldn't effect some change! Isn't it documented that people who laugh together certainly have an easier time negotiating land division? Surely.
This year's match happens Saturday, April 3rd right in the middle of the hippest neighborhood in Manhattan -- Union Square! IN FACT, GET THIS -- IT'S ACTUALLY INTERNATIONAL PILLOW FIGHT DAY AND ALL SORTS OF PEOPLE IN COOL CITIES ACROSS THE GLOBE WILL BE PILLOW FIGHTING! So if you show up tomorrow you can be a part of an international movement towards World Sillyness -- which I think is the best darn socio-political movement I've heard of.
